Sacred Skills

FUNDED BY A LREDA 21ST CENTURY GRANT

Sacred Skills is an ongoing Unitarian Universalist RE teacher support project funded by a generous LREDA 21st Century Grant. These free resources are for RE Families and RE Teachers. That grant has expired, so if you would like to offer a purchase fee for the use of videos, you are welcome to do so. No pressure though! Just use Paypal or contact me (twinflowerpress@gmail.com) for contact information to send a check. I created this with love for all religious educators and your contributions help to defray costs of updating and adding new materials.

Use any of the 20-minute presentations in groups or as  individuals to learn key RE teacher skills (Embracing Wholeness), learn about our faith (Forming Faith), and develop spiritually (Fulfilling Service).

Watch this short video to better understand how to use Sacred Skills. Then choose from the categories below to find more resources.

Getting Started

Embracing Wholeness

Fulfilling Service

Forming Faith

Here’s where you will find bite-sized histories of Unitarian Universalist Theology, Polity and Justice Making.

Inviting Your Wisdom

I would be delighted to add your voice and expertise to these videos. Contact me if you are willing to share your wisdom. I’m particularly looking for ways to adapt programming for online use and all of the ways you have been working during the pandemic. it would be great to have overviews on many more of the Tapestry of Faith curricula. Just think how helpful it owuld be to all religious educators if they could come to this site and learn about a curriculum they haven’t tried out from a trusted colleague! Also, more videos that engage RE teachers for individual or group teacher training.

I created this program in the two years before the pandemic…and I am just now resurrecting it and it needs videos on the specifics of supporting UU RE programs online or in a hybrid manner.
